Planning applications in and adjacent to the parish boundaries of Freshford.

All planning applications and applications for Listed Building alterations within the Parish are referred to the Parish Council by B&NES planning department for local comment. The Parish Council has about a three week period in which to make their representation, which will usually be made after discussion at a Parish Council meeting. This will be stated on the published agenda for the meeting.

B&NES has set up a public access website which provides very comprehensive access to all planning applications, giving full details of the application, with all drawings and paperwork and the important dates applicable to that application.

The drawings and documents relating to each application available on the public access site are large files and therefore those residents without broadband internet access will find that the download time is probably too great to give easy access. For those residents and also residents without internet access, full information on every planning application is available for public viewing at the Planning Office of B&NES at Trim Bridge House, Trim Street Bath during normal office hours.

Neighbours to the property should be notified by B&NES that a planning application has been received and they and any individual can make comment on the application both to the Parish Council and B&NES. Comments to B&NES can either be made in writing to David Davies, Head of Planning Services, Trimbridge House, Trim Street, Bath BA1 2DP or using the page set up for comment on the relevant application on the public access site.

The Parish Council comments will be listed on the site once these have been notified to B&NES and the decision of B&NES planning committee will then be added, once the decision is made.
