The Tyning lane - passing bay installation: 2nd and 3rd July

posted 28 Jun 2018, 14:54 by Parish Council Communications
As previously announced, Freshford Parish Council is arranging for a passing bay by the Tyning lane in an effort to stop vehicles damaging the lane verges when passing each other. The product is a heavy duty slip resistant polyethylene mesh. Once laid, the mesh allows grass to grow through it, creating a strong, discreetly reinforced, natural grass sward capable of withstanding vehicle loads. The passing bay will be next to the street light halfway along the lane.

Installation of the passing bay will be carried out on Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd July, with the contractors on site from about 7.30am. There may be some slight disruption to traffic along the Tyning lane as materials and a skip are delivered but the works themselves will be on the grass and the lane will remain open.
