The Hill, Freshford - Pedestrian Improvements, Feasibility Study

posted 15 Mar 2017, 04:07 by Parish Council Communications
B&NES Council has commissioned a Feasibility Study to investigate whether pedestrian improvements could be carried out along The Hill, Freshford, between Station Road and The Inn public house to enhance road safety for all users.

The Feasibility Study can be viewed from the this website here.

After a brief preliminary discussion Freshford Parish Council:
  • Is pleased that B&NES is prepared to make this investment in our village.
  • We are leaning towards 'Option 2' of the two put forward.
  • We have noted that there are, in fact, three streetlights along this section of road, not two as stated.
  • We hope that, as part of these works, a way can be found to discourage through traffic from continuing straight on at the top of The Hill and down Church Hill.

FPC will be submitting more detailed comments following the Parish Council Meeting on 10th April 2017. If any residents wish to make comments for consideration please would you do so to Cllr Nick Stevens by 31st March 2017 so that comments can be collated and distributed to councillors in advance of the meeting.
