Rail and bus replacement services in August

posted 29 Jul 2015, 07:58 by Parish Council Communications

We are much indebted to Philip Haile, whose perseverance has extracted the following information from First Great Western about train and replacement bus services at Freshford in August.

  •  For weekdays the train timetable is here.
  • For weekends there is no timetable but you are asked to check here, which suggests there is an hourly service at the weekend.
  • The replacement bus service won’t run from Freshford Station, but from the Old Bakery, High Street, with request stops at the school and the Village Hall. A timetable for August can be found here
  • We understand that FGW are planning to provide a facility for rail ticket holders who live at Limpley Stoke to be able to use the number 265 service bus for journeys into Bath and to Bradford on Avon/Trowbridge.

While this information is offered in good faith, residents are strongly advised to check with First Great Western before travelling.
