Neighbourhood Watch Annual Meeting

posted 21 Oct 2013, 01:11 by Parish Council Communications
Come and meet Sue Mountstevens, Police and Crime Commissioner, Avon and Somerset Police, at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 6th November in Freshford Memorial Hall.

Sue will be joining us for the Annual Meeting of Freshford Neighbourhood Watch, and we are hoping to hear first hand just how Neighbourhood Watch and Neighbourhood Policing fit in to her vision for a safe rural community.  We would also like to find out the extent to which she would support our Neighbourhood Plan objectives for low vehicle speed, pedestrian-priority villages – even though enforcement may not be feasible.  We may well have points to make and suggestions to offer in return.

Sue’s attendance is a major coup for our community.  This is residents’ opportunity to engage with our local police force at the highest possible level – an opportunity that is unlikely to be repeated in the foreseeable future.

All Freshford residents are warmly invited and encouraged to attend this significant event – as are Limpley Stoke residents because of our shared interest in a joint Neighbourhood Plan.

The meeting will start promptly at 7.30 pm and will be followed at about 9.00 pm by wine, soft drinks and nibbles.  Do make a note in your diary – and come and join us on the day.

If you will be unable to attend but have points you would like raised, please contact Graham Jenkinson.
