Freshford Primary School would be delighted to welcome new volunteers

posted 9 Jan 2017, 07:52 by Parish Council Communications
As the new year commences, we are keen to increase our current body of volunteers who support our children in a wide variety of ways.

Our children are aged between 4 and 11 and there are many ways in which you could help enrich their education:
  • listening to children read
  • working with groups of children in a classroom setting
  • sharing your interests and skills

In order to ensure that we can plan your time in school to make it as rewarding as possible for both you and the children, we are ideally seeking a regular commitment – an hour, morning or afternoon a week/fortnight or some other amount of time you are able to offer.

If you would be interested in joining our school community, or know of someone who may be interested, please contact us and speak to Helen Lorraine or Pippa Aitchison.

Telephone : 01225 723331

Safeguarding : DBS check
Our school is committed to equal opportunities and to the welfare and safety of children and young people. This post will require a criminal background check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.  This is free of charge for volunteers and only takes a few weeks to be processed.
