Freshford - recycling collection update Friday 8th January

posted 8 Jan 2016, 06:13 by Parish Council Communications
A message from B&NES:

We have been advised that there is still ongoing industrial action by staff working for our recycling contractor Kier. In addition to the ongoing overtime ban staff will now be taking part in strike action on Friday 8th January.

If your recycling collection and food waste is scheduled for Friday 8th January unfortunately collections will not take place on this day. Please hold onto your recycling and food waste and put it out for collection on Monday 11th January 2016.  Please continue to check our website www.bathnes.gov.uk and Twitter feed @bathnes for any updates.

Our recycling centres at Keynsham, Old Welton and Bath are open from November to March on Monday – Friday 8am – 4.15pm, Saturday 9am - 3.45pm and Sunday 9am - 1pm.  Facilities to recycle all of the materials collected as part of the kerbside recycling collections, including food waste, are available at all three sites.

On behalf of our contractor we continue to apologise sincerely for any inconvenience caused.

Please note that rubbish collections and garden waste and Christmas tree collections are not affected by this industrial action.
