Do we need extended childcare facilities in Freshford and Limpley Stoke?

posted 8 Jan 2013, 02:29 by Parish Council Communications
The preliminary work on the Freshford and Limpley Stoke Neighbourhood Plan has identified a possible need for extended childcare facilities within Freshford and Limpley Stoke. The perceived need extends beyond the services currently offered by Freshford Pre-school and existing after school clubs and breakfast club operating at Freshford Primary School. The possible need includes longer pre-school sessions, childcare for younger children, childcare in the school holidays and breakfast/after-school childcare for school aged children beyond the hours currently offered at Freshford Primary School.

Two surveys have been designed to assess the extent of this need. Please complete one or both of the following surveys depending on the age of your children.

Survey A for parents of children who will be below school age in September 2013.
Please complete this survey if your child is already booked to attend Freshford Pre-school in September 2013 or you are planning for them to attend at a future date. Please also complete this survey if your child is not currently booked to attend Freshford Pre-school, but you may consider the Pre-school if it offered longer operating hours.

Survey B for parents of children who will be starting Freshford Primary School in September 2013 or are already at Freshford Primary School.
Please complete this survey if you will have at least one child at Freshford Primary School from September 2013.

If you have children who will fall into both categories in September 2013, please complete both surveys.

Both surveys and further information can also be found at http://www.freshfordpreschool.co.uk/extended-hours-survey

Please complete the surveys by Friday 18th January 2013.

Many thanks for your contribution.
