We have received more specific information about next week's road works.

We understand that the road closures for the geotech works will be between:
  • The A36 just south of the junction with the B3108, so traffic coming south on the A36 will be able to turn right up Brassknocker Hill or left towards Lower Stoke.
  • And the A36 just north of Church Lane, so traffic heading north on the A36 will be able to turn left on to Midford Lane or right on to Church Lane.
No vehicles will be able to drive through the works during the periods of closure - between 9.00 pm and 6.00 am for 4 nights from January 26th - but residents needing access to properties on the closed section of the A36 will be guided in or out from one direction or the other by the contractors as the need arises.

After this time, the works will be completed under night time off-peak signals, Monday to Friday, for the remainder of the scheme - i.e. for approximately a further four weeks.
