Freshford Village Hall

Overview

The overview on the Freshford Village Hall website states:

"The trustees of Freshford Village Memorial Hall have prepared a Community Right to Build Order (CRtB order) to fulfil their vision to enhance, modernise and extend the existing Freshford Village Memorial Hall facility to provide a welcoming and attractive multi-purpose focus for local community activity complementing its outstanding rural setting.

The intention is to embark upon a phased programme to be carried out over the next 5 years, incorporating refurbishment of the existing village hall building, with extensions to provide a dedicated pre-school space and a possible doctor's surgery extension.

This project will significantly improve and ensure the long term viability of a building which acts as the community hub for the villages of Freshford and Limpley Stoke."

Next Steps

The Community Right to Build Order (CRtBO) has been successfully examined by B&NES. The next step is for a local referendum to be held on 6th May 2021 across the Neighbourhood Plan area - the parishes of Freshford and Limpley Stoke - to determine whether the community supports the CRtBO.

Local Referendum

This local referendum will be undertaken alongside the local elections that are being undertaken on 6th May in Freshford and Limpley Stoke.

The question will be:
  • Do you want the development in the Community Right to Build Order for Freshford and Limpley Stoke to have planning permission?
Full details of the background detail and the CRtBO are available on the Freshford Village Hall website:

The full plans and reasoning is available on the Village Hall website using the above link.
