Village Shop/Post Office

Galleries Shop is located on Freshford Lane, providing a wide range of affordable basics, local products, in-store bakery, wine and beer and a cafe. Opening hours are available on their own website.

Village Hall

Freshford Village Memorial Hall is available for hire for many activities including weddings, brownie and scout camps, evening functions, children's parties and other activities such as archery, lectures, exhibitions, youth and child events and clubs, music, entertainment and drama ,and many other local clubs and societies.


The Hall offers a large hall, the size of a badminton court with stage, committee room, games room, toilets and a kitchen, all fully equipped and maintained to current standards. We also provide on site parking on our Village Hall car park next to the new Galleries Village Shop. In addition we offer an outside maintained field and playground equipment.

The main Hall may be booked for £10/hour during the daytime and £15/hour in the evening, from 7.00pm onwards. The small Hall may be booked for £6/hour during
the daytime, and £10/hour in the evening. Exceptions to the hourly rate are Brownie camps which are charged £100/day and weddings which are charged £300 for the event.

Mobile Library

The mobile library stops at Freshford once every fortnight. Books can be reserved online at the main library website and collected from the mobile library. The dates and times when it visits Freshford, and surrounding villages can be found here
